Joinery estimating and quoting software: Joinerysoft, Joinery Core, Tradify

Prices and features last checked

Closetforge is a white-label 3D wardrobe configurator and quoting tool for fitted-wardrobe makers. Joinerysoft, Joinery Core and Tradify are software for running the workshop or the trade business: estimating, quoting, production and jobs. We make Closetforge, so this comparison is written by an interested party; every fact about the three below is taken from their own pages, linked and dated.

This page is not really a contest. The three products below are used by the people in the business, after an enquiry has arrived. Closetforge is used by the customer, before the enquiry arrives, and turns it into a priced wardrobe quote. We think of it as the customer-facing half of a workshop's software, and most of the tools below would sit beside it rather than be replaced by it.

Joinerysoft

Joinerysoft is a UK company whose home page describes software "designed for bespoke timber/wooden joinery". Its modules cover windows, sliding sash, doors, screens, stairs, gates and other custom items. JMS 2D is presented as a way to quote full jobs within minutes, from design to invoice; JMS 3D Pro adds a 3D solid modelling engine and costing that follows your tooling and tracked time; JMS Cloud adds customer records, scheduling, timesheets and financials; and there is a separate fire and commercial doors configurator. The page also says JMS calculates U values and produces CE marking (joinerysoft.com, read 9 October 2026). We found no price on the home page; the call to action is to book a demo.

Joinery Core

Joinery Core describes itself as workshop management software "built by a joiner, for joiners". Its home page lists estimating and quoting room by room, with overhead, profit and VAT applied and a branded PDF quote; drag-and-drop production scheduling; stock control with low-stock alerts; team capacity and timesheets; and profitability tracking per job. A newer AI assistant reads a client's PDF and drafts an estimate for you to approve, and the page says plainly that it is "not a design tool". It names joinery workshops, cabinet makers, furniture and kitchen manufacturers among the businesses it serves (joinerycore.com, read 9 October 2026).

Joinery Core prints its prices: Solo £19/mo for one user, Small £49/mo for up to five, Basic £149/mo for up to fifteen and Pro £249/mo for up to thirty, all plus VAT, with a 14-day trial and no card required (joinerycore.com, read 9 October 2026).

Tradify

Tradify is job management software for trade businesses. Its pricing page lists Lite, Pro, Plus and Custom plans covering job tracking, scheduling, quoting and invoicing, online payments, quote options with online acceptance, timesheets, subcontractor scheduling and Xero and QuickBooks Online sync; AI tools for quoting and bills are on the Plus plan only. The trades it names are electrical, plumbing, gas, HVAC and property maintenance (tradifyhq.com/pricing, read 9 October 2026).

The page shows prices per user per month in the visitor's currency. To us, on 9 October 2026, it showed the Lite plan from $47 USD per user per month, two higher plans above it, Custom priced by request and a 14-day trial (tradifyhq.com/pricing, read 9 October 2026). A UK visitor may see a different figure in pounds, so read the page from where you are.

What Closetforge is

Closetforge puts a finished wardrobe configurator on your own website, under your brand and your domain. A customer designs the wardrobe in 3D in six steps, or describes it to an AI assistant that makes the changes for them. Every change is checked against building rules we have already written for wardrobes, so a design that cannot be built is refused with a sentence that says what to do instead.

When the customer asks for a quote, their phone number is checked with a text-message code, and the server prices the design from your own settings: the boards you buy and what they cost, your waste allowance, your labour minutes and hourly rate, your mark-up, VAT, installation and travel. You receive a customer PDF and a workshop PDF with a cut list, the hardware and accessories, and a cut layout across the boards. By default nothing reaches the customer until you approve it.

Where Closetforge fits beside them

The order of work. A wardrobe job runs roughly: enquiry, design, price, survey, order, production, fitting, invoice. Closetforge covers the first three for wardrobes, done by the customer and the server. The tools above cover the rest, done by your team.

Which one to run beside it.

  • A wardrobe or fitted-furniture workshop that wants production planning, stock and job costing would run Joinery Core beside Closetforge: Closetforge brings in the designed and priced wardrobe, and Joinery Core schedules and tracks the build.
  • A firm that fits as much as it makes, and invoices through Xero or QuickBooks, would run Tradify beside it for scheduling, job tracking and invoicing.
  • A joinery that makes windows, doors and stairs and adds fitted wardrobes would keep Joinerysoft for that work and use Closetforge for wardrobe enquiries from its website.

The hand-over is by hand. Closetforge has no connection to any of the three. When an order is confirmed, someone copies the job from the workshop PDF into the other system. It is a real step, and worth counting before you decide.

Choose them if…

  • Choose Joinerysoft if you make bespoke windows, doors, stairs or fire doors and need U values, CE marking and production information for them.
  • Choose Joinery Core if you want estimating, production planning, stock and team scheduling for your workshop in one browser system.
  • Choose Tradify if you run a trade business and want quoting, scheduling, job tracking and invoicing with an accounting sync.
  • Choose Closetforge if you build fitted wardrobes and want customers to design them on your own website, with each request priced from your own rates. Then pick one of the above for what happens after the order.

What Closetforge does not do

  • No kitchens. Closetforge handles wardrobes only, by decision. Kitchens, windows, doors, stairs and other joinery are out of scope; a quote can carry custom lines for the odd extra.
  • CNC output is limited to a MaxCut CSV. The cut list exports as a CSV for the MaxCut panel optimiser. There is no file for a CNC machine and no link to your CAD.
  • EU supplier catalogues only. The supplier catalogues we import come from European suppliers. There is no UK merchant price list built in; you enter your own board prices.
  • No integrations. It does not connect to Joinerysoft, Joinery Core, Tradify, accounting or CRM software.
  • No job management. There is no production scheduling, stock control, timesheets or invoicing.
  • No customer payments. It sends quotes; it does not take deposits.

How this page was checked

Every Joinerysoft, Joinery Core and Tradify fact above was read on their own pages, linked in place, on the date at the top of the page. If something here no longer matches those pages, the vendor's page is right. Tell us if something has changed and we will re-check.

See it for yourself

Open the live demo to design a wardrobe as a customer would and read both quote documents, the customer's and the workshop's. To see how your own boards, labour and travel would price a recent job, book a call.
