Lunfio alternative: two wardrobe configurators for your website compared

Closetforge is a white-label 3D wardrobe configurator and quoting tool for fitted-wardrobe makers. Lunfio is a hosted 3D furniture configurator that a furniture business adds to its website, with a WordPress plugin to embed it. We make Closetforge, so this comparison is written by an interested party; every Lunfio fact below is taken from Lunfio's own plugin listing, linked and dated.
Of the products we compare against, Lunfio is the closest to Closetforge. Both are aimed at wardrobe makers rather than at large furniture brands, both are finished configurators rather than kits, and both put the customer in charge of the first design. The differences are in what happens after the customer presses the button: how the request is priced, what the workshop receives, and where the configurator lives.
A note on sources: Lunfio's plugin listing links to the company's own site, but that site did not load for us on 9 October 2026. Everything below comes from the listing Lunfio publishes on WordPress.org, which Lunfio wrote.

What Lunfio is
Lunfio's listing says it "lets furniture businesses add a finished WebGL configurator to WordPress" without rebuilding the website. It names fitted wardrobes, walk-in wardrobes, media walls, cabinets, closets, modular storage and made-to-measure furniture as the products it is built for. It describes itself as a hosted product that includes the customer configurator, the website embed, an admin dashboard, materials, colours, pricing, branding, a quote or order request flow, hosting, updates and support (wordpress.org/plugins/lunfio-3d-configurator, read 9 October 2026).
The listing explains how the request works: instead of a vague message, the business receives "a structured request with selected size, layout, material, color, options, and customer details". Materials, pricing, branding and the order flow are set up in Lunfio's own dashboard, not in WordPress. A Lunfio account and an approved workspace are required before the plugin works. The listing says you can start from a ready setup and add custom models, textures and branding later, that the configurator works on desktop and mobile, and that a custom or private version is available on request (wordpress.org/plugins/lunfio-3d-configurator, read 9 October 2026).
On price, the FAQ says that hosting, updates, compatibility improvements, support and product improvements "are included from $49/month" (wordpress.org/plugins/lunfio-3d-configurator, read 9 October 2026). We found no other plan or figure on the listing.
What Closetforge is
Closetforge puts a finished wardrobe configurator on your own website, under your brand and your domain. A customer designs the wardrobe in 3D in six steps, or describes it to an AI assistant that makes the changes for them. Every change is checked against the same building rules, so a design that cannot be built is refused with a sentence that says what to do instead.
When the customer asks for a quote, their phone number is checked with a text-message code, and the server prices the design from your own settings: the boards you buy and what they cost, your waste allowance, your labour minutes and hourly rate, your mark-up, VAT, installation and travel. You receive a customer PDF and a workshop PDF with a cut list, the hardware and accessories, and a cut layout across the boards. By default nothing reaches the customer until you approve it, unless you switch on automatic sending.
Where they differ
What arrives in your inbox. Lunfio, on its own description, sends you a structured request: the size, layout, material, colour, options and the customer's details, so you start your quote from clear information. Closetforge sends you a priced quote to approve, worked out from your boards, labour and rates, plus a workshop document with a cut list and a cut layout. If you prefer to price every job yourself, a structured request may be all you want. If pricing is the evening work you are trying to remove, that is the difference that matters.
Range of products. Lunfio covers media walls, cabinets and modular storage as well as wardrobes. Closetforge does wardrobes and nothing else, including corner, walk-in, sliding-door and stepped units.
How it reaches your site. Lunfio is embedded through a WordPress plugin and an iframe, and you can place it on any page with a shortcode. Closetforge runs on your own domain or a subdomain of it, so it does not depend on which website builder you use, but it is not a block you drop into a page.
Designing by description. Closetforge's customers can describe a wardrobe in words or with a photo, and the assistant builds it in the 3D view. Lunfio's listing does not describe a feature like this.
Price. Lunfio publishes an entry figure on its listing. Our plans are published on the pricing page.
Choose them if…
- Choose Lunfio if your website runs on WordPress and you want a configurator you place on any page with a shortcode.
- Choose Lunfio if you sell media walls, TV units or modular storage alongside wardrobes and want one configurator for them.
- Choose Lunfio if you want customers to send clear, structured requests and you prefer to work out every price yourself.
- Choose Closetforge if you build fitted wardrobes and want each request priced from your own boards, labour and rates, with a cut list and cut layout ready for the workshop.
- Choose Closetforge if you want customers to be able to describe a wardrobe in words and see it built in 3D.
What Closetforge does not do
- No kitchens. Closetforge handles wardrobes only, by decision. Kitchens, bathrooms, doors, media walls and other furniture are out of scope; a quote can carry custom lines for the odd extra.
- CNC output is limited to a MaxCut CSV. The cut list exports as a CSV for the MaxCut panel optimiser. There is no file for a CNC machine and no link to your CAD.
- EU supplier catalogues only. The supplier catalogues we import come from European suppliers. There is no UK merchant price list built in; you enter your own board prices.
- No integrations. It does not connect to accounting, CRM, e-commerce or job-management software.
- No WordPress plugin. The configurator runs on your own domain or a subdomain of it; there is no shortcode to place on a page.
- No team management in your account. Extra logins are added by us on request.
- No customer payments. It sends quotes; it does not take deposits.
