Quick3DCloset alternative: wardrobe software for you, or for your customers

Last updated

Prices and features last checked

Closetforge is a white-label 3D wardrobe configurator and quoting tool for fitted-wardrobe makers. Quick3DCloset is a Windows wardrobe design program from Microcad Software, the maker of Autoclosets, for carpenters and wardrobe retailers to design with. We make Closetforge, so this comparison is written by an interested party; every Quick3DCloset fact below is taken from Microcad's own product page, linked and dated.

A note on sources. Quick3DCloset is listed in several software directories, and the quick3dcloset.com address that some of them point to did not resolve for us on 9 October 2026. Microcad sells the program from its Autoclosets site instead, and that is the page we read. Directory listings carry figures and descriptions written by the directories; we do not repeat them here, because Microcad's own page is the one that counts.

Quick3DCloset and Closetforge both draw wardrobes in 3D, so they turn up in the same searches. They are used by different people. Quick3DCloset is a program you install and design in, then show the result to your customer. Closetforge is a configurator your customer uses on your website, followed by a priced quote for you to approve.

What Quick3DCloset is

Microcad's page calls Quick3DCloset "a simple, fast, and powerful wardrobe design tool" and says its ease of use is meant for "carpenters and retail stores specializing in wardrobes and bedroom furniture". It lists templates from sliding doors to open designs, a report with a detailed inventory of parts and measurements, a catalogue of furniture and accessories to dress the room, work in 2D and 3D with images up to 8K resolution, printed plans and component lists, an architecture assistant for walls, doors, windows and pillars, and importing accessories from the SketchUp Warehouse (autoclosets.com/uk/quick3dcloset-affordable-wardrobe-design-tool-uk, read 9 October 2026).

The page says Quick3DCloset runs on Windows 10 64-bit and "is not compatible with Apple Mac, Linux, iOS or Android", that it needs an internet connection, and that one login can be used on different computers but not at the same time. Technical support is by email (autoclosets.com/uk/quick3dcloset-affordable-wardrobe-design-tool-uk, read 9 October 2026).

On price, the page lists subscriptions of one, six or twelve months at 35,00 €, 180,00 € and 300,00 €, or US$ 39,00, US$ 199,00 and US$ 349,00, with taxes not included. A 7-day trial runs the same program as the paid version, and a subscription does not renew automatically (autoclosets.com/uk/quick3dcloset-affordable-wardrobe-design-tool-uk, read 9 October 2026). Microcad describes itself on the same page as a developer of interior design software since 1987, and it offers a fuller program, Autoclosets, for those who need more.

What Closetforge is

Closetforge puts a finished wardrobe configurator on your own website, under your brand and your domain. A customer designs the wardrobe in 3D in six steps, or describes it to an AI assistant that makes the changes for them. Every change is checked against the same building rules, so a design that cannot be built is refused with a sentence that says what to do instead.

When the customer asks for a quote, their phone number is checked with a text-message code, and the server prices the design from your own settings: the boards you buy and what they cost, your waste allowance, your labour minutes and hourly rate, your mark-up, VAT, installation and travel. You receive a customer PDF and a workshop PDF with a cut list, the hardware and accessories, and a cut layout across the boards. By default nothing reaches the customer until you approve it, unless you switch on automatic sending.

Where they differ

Who designs. With Quick3DCloset, you design. The customer describes what they want, you draw it, and you show them plans and renders. With Closetforge, the customer makes the first design themselves on your website, at any hour, and you receive it priced. Your design time goes to the jobs that are real.

Where the price comes from. Microcad's page describes a parts and measurements report. Closetforge prices each design on the server from your board costs, sheet usage, labour minutes and rates, and writes the quote for you to approve.

Where it runs. Quick3DCloset is installed on Windows. Closetforge runs in a browser so neither you nor your customer installs anything.

Pictures. Quick3DCloset dresses the whole room, with furniture, flooring and SketchUp accessories, and renders it in high resolution. Closetforge shows the wardrobe itself in 3D, with the doors and drawers that open, on the customer's own screen.

Price. Microcad publishes its subscription prices. Our plans are published on the pricing page.

Choose them if…

  • Choose Quick3DCloset if you want a design program on your own Windows computer to draw wardrobes and walk-in wardrobes for customers in the showroom or at home visits.
  • Choose Quick3DCloset if you want furnished room renders, printed plans and a parts list from the same program, and you price the job yourself.
  • Choose Quick3DCloset if you want a short subscription you renew by hand, month by month.
  • Choose Closetforge if you build fitted wardrobes and want customers to design them on your own website, with each request priced from your own rates and a cut list ready for the workshop.
  • Choose both if you design in the showroom with your own program but want online enquiries to arrive designed and priced.

What Closetforge does not do

  • No kitchens. Closetforge handles wardrobes only, by decision. Kitchens, bathrooms, doors and other furniture are out of scope; a quote can carry custom lines for the odd extra.
  • CNC output is limited to a MaxCut CSV. The cut list exports as a CSV for the MaxCut panel optimiser. There is no file for a CNC machine and no link to your CAD.
  • EU supplier catalogues only. The supplier catalogues we import come from European suppliers. There is no UK merchant price list built in; you enter your own board prices.
  • No integrations. It does not connect to accounting, CRM, e-commerce or job-management software.
  • No room furnishing. There are no beds, flooring or decorative objects in the scene, and no SketchUp import.
  • No customer payments. It sends quotes; it does not take deposits.

Every Quick3DCloset fact above was read on Microcad's own product page, linked in place, on the date at the top of the page. If something here no longer matches that page, Microcad's page is right. Tell us if something has changed and we will re-check.
