Threekit and Expivi pricing explained: a wardrobe configurator alternative
Last updated
Prices and features last checked
Closetforge is a white-label 3D wardrobe configurator and quoting tool for fitted-wardrobe makers. Threekit and Expivi are product configuration platforms for manufacturers and retailers, sold through a demo and a custom quote. We make Closetforge, so this comparison is written by an interested party; every Threekit and Expivi fact below is taken from their own pages, linked and dated.
If you searched for Threekit pricing, the short answer is that Threekit does not publish a price, and neither does Expivi. Both describe a sales process instead: a meeting, a look at your products and goals, then a quote. That is normal for platforms built to model any product a manufacturer sells. It is also the main reason a small wardrobe workshop ends up looking for something else.

Threekit pricing, in Threekit's words
Threekit's pricing page answers the question directly. Under "How much does Threekit cost?" it says that "Pricing is custom and varies based on your specific use case, number of products you need configured, brand of visualization, and approximate timeline and budget." It describes three steps to a price: schedule an initial meeting, complete a project survey, then discuss the quote. The core features it lists are product configuration in 3D, Virtual Photographer for photorealistic 2D images, augmented reality, hosting within the Threekit player, platform access for self-service, digital asset management, and e-commerce and tech-stack connections (threekit.com/pricing, read 9 October 2026).
On the same page, Threekit says the time to go live depends on the scope and scale of the visuals, and that its headless architecture plugs into e-commerce platforms, order management, ERP, PIM and DAM systems (threekit.com/pricing, read 9 October 2026).
What Threekit is today
Threekit's home page now leads with configure-price-quote software for manufacturers. It says Threekit "turns customer requirements into valid configurations, applies your pricing rules, and builds a quote" for a sales team, dealers or website visitors, and that the team behind it built Oracle CPQ and Salesforce CPQ. It lists product catalogues and option rules, compatibility checks, pricing from your price books, quote PDFs with revisions, and handing a configuration on as JSON or XML. The industries it names are doors and windows, machinery and equipment, millwork, commercial equipment, medical and dental, and plumbing and bath (threekit.com, read 9 October 2026).
What Expivi is
Expivi calls itself "the all-in-one product configuration platform" for manufacturers and retailers. Its home page lists visual configure-price-quote, 3D and AR product configuration, design-to-print personalisation, automatic bills of materials and production data, and a headless, API-first architecture. It lists integrations with Shopify, Magento, WordPress, Shopware, Sana Commerce, Salesforce and custom APIs, and names furniture among the industries it serves, alongside sporting goods, construction, jewellery, workwear, mobility and printing. The call to action is a 15-minute demo, and the page says implementation takes weeks rather than months (expivi.com, read 9 October 2026).
When we opened Expivi's pricing address on 9 October 2026, it took us to the home page, and we found no price there (expivi.com, read 9 October 2026). Any figure you see for Expivi elsewhere comes from a third party, and we do not repeat it here.
What Closetforge is
Closetforge puts a finished wardrobe configurator on your own website, under your brand and your domain. A customer designs the wardrobe in 3D in six steps, or describes it to an AI assistant that makes the changes for them. Every change is checked against building rules we have already written for wardrobes, so a design that cannot be built is refused with a sentence that says what to do instead.
When the customer asks for a quote, their phone number is checked with a text-message code, and the server prices the design from your own settings: the boards you buy and what they cost, your waste allowance, your labour minutes and hourly rate, your mark-up, VAT, installation and travel. You receive a customer PDF and a workshop PDF with a cut list, the hardware and accessories, and a cut layout across the boards.
Where they differ
Who models the product. Threekit and Expivi are platforms: your catalogue, option rules and pricing logic are built into them, by your team, theirs or an integrator. That is what lets them handle a conveyor, a trailer or a sofa. Closetforge knows one product, the fitted wardrobe, and its rules are already written. You set your boards, labour and rates; you do not model anything.
Who they are built for. Both pages speak to manufacturers with sales teams, dealer networks and e-commerce stores. Closetforge is built for a workshop that makes wardrobes to measure and wants enquiries from its own website.
Connections. Both platforms connect to ERP, PIM and commerce systems. Closetforge connects to nothing; it sends quotes and documents.
Price. Neither platform publishes a price. Our plans are published on the pricing page.
Choose them if…
- Choose Threekit if you are a manufacturer with a sales team or dealer network and want one configure-price-quote system across many product families.
- Choose Threekit if you need configurations handed to downstream systems as JSON or XML, alongside or instead of an existing CPQ.
- Choose Expivi if you sell configurable products through Shopify, Magento or another commerce platform and want 3D, AR and bills of materials connected to your ERP.
- Choose Expivi if you also personalise printed products and want design-to-print in the same platform.
- Choose Closetforge if you build fitted wardrobes to measure and want customers to design on your own website, with each request priced from your own rates and nothing to model.
What Closetforge does not do
- No kitchens. Closetforge handles wardrobes only, by decision. Kitchens, bathrooms, doors and other furniture are out of scope; a quote can carry custom lines for the odd extra.
- CNC output is limited to a MaxCut CSV. The cut list exports as a CSV for the MaxCut panel optimiser. There is no file for a CNC machine and no link to your CAD.
- EU supplier catalogues only. The supplier catalogues we import come from European suppliers. There is no UK merchant price list built in; you enter your own board prices.
- No integrations. It does not connect to ERP, PIM, accounting, CRM or e-commerce software, and there is no API for your systems.
- No augmented reality. Customers see the wardrobe in 3D in the browser, not placed in their room through the camera.
- No dealer network features. There are no dealer roles or dealer price levels.
- No customer payments. It sends quotes; it does not take deposits.
