What your wardrobe configurator site does for Google and ChatGPT
Last updated
Closetforge is a white-label 3D wardrobe configurator and quoting tool for fitted-wardrobe makers. Your site is built to be found, and this page lists what it does for search engines and AI assistants without any set-up from you.
What is switched on for every workshop
- A robots file. Your site publishes a
robots.txtthat lets search engines and AI crawlers read your public pages, and keeps private ones, such as customer drafts, quotes and the admin, out of the index. - A sitemap.
sitemap.xmllists your public pages, so a search engine finds them without guessing. - An
llms.txtfile. A plain-text summary of your workshop and its main pages, written for AI assistants that look for one. - Structured data on templates. Each public wardrobe template carries machine-readable details, so a crawler can tell a design from a paragraph of text.
- One URL per language. If you offer your site in more than one language, each language has its own address, and the address decides what a visitor sees.
What it does not do
None of this ranks you first. Search engines and assistants decide that, and no software controls them. What your site gives you is a clean, readable starting point. Pages that describe your own work, your area and your finished wardrobes are still yours to write, and they are what customers in your area search for.
Where to look next
Your workshop's address shows each file: add /robots.txt, /sitemap.xml or /llms.txt to it.
