How do I answer help requests and design live with a customer in the wardrobe configurator?

Last updated

Closetforge is a white-label 3D wardrobe configurator and quoting tool for fitted-wardrobe makers. Most customers design on your site before they ever ask for a quote. This page shows where those designs are, and how to step in while the customer is still deciding.

The Designs list

Designs (/admin/configurations) lists every design a visitor starts on your site, saved as they work, before any quote. Show it By design (one row per customer's room, which can hold several wardrobes) or By wardrobe. Filters pick out designs with an open session right now, designs that were shared, and designs whose customer asked for help. Designs a visitor opened and never changed are left out unless you include them.

A design marked Live now has someone in it at this moment.

Help requests

In the editor, a customer can press Ask the maker for a hand and leave a number to be called back on. You get an email, the design is marked help requested on Designs, and Today (/admin) counts the customers asking for help. Open the design and either ring them or, if they are still online, join their session.

Joining a customer's session

On a design with an open session, press Join the customer's session. You first join as an observer: you see their design and the editor panels, and they are not shown that you are there. Press Start assisting when you want to help; from then on you appear as an editor and can change the design with them.

Either of you can Lead. While someone leads, the other's view follows theirs: the camera, the wizard step and the wardrobe in view. That suits a phone call where you build and the customer watches on their own screen. If the customer turns the 3D view themselves, their camera stops following, and the lead stays on.

Share links

From the editor's Share button you, or the customer, can create a link to the whole design:

  • View only: the recipient sees the wardrobe in 3D and cannot change it.
  • Can assist: the recipient can edit, lead and use the AI assistant.

Each link shows when it expires, and you can revoke it. On a design's details, Shared links shows how often each link was opened, by how many browsers, when it was last opened and whether a quote followed. The customer opening their own link is not counted, and viewers are never named.

For a customer who cannot follow a link, you can send a short numeric code from the same Share menu. They type it on your site and the design opens in 3D, view only.

The AI assistant your customers use

Customers can also design by describing what they want to the AI assistant on your site, in the language of your site. It changes the design in front of them through the same rules as the editor, so it cannot build what your workshop does not make. A customer can attach a photograph of their room.

Your plan includes a monthly allowance of assistant messages; see plans. Settings (/admin/settings) shows how much of this month's allowance is used. When it runs out, the assistant pauses until the allowance resets and customers carry on with the editor. If you buy extra credits, they never expire and are used only after the month's allowance.

What it does not do

Joining a session needs the customer to have their design open. When they do not, ring them, or send a share link and talk them through it.
